PTDQ Basic Life Support for Health & Social Care Course

Will it meet Guidance from CQC and Skills for Care?

The PTDQ Medicines Awareness Trainer and PTDQ Medicines Awareness Course is designed to meet Skills for Care, Care Quality Commission requirements for Medicines Awareness in Health and Social care. This course has a robust framework and assesses the learner’s ability to complete assessments criteria’s that include assessor observations and learner oral questions.

Guided Learning Hours: 3 to 4 Depending on numbers and the learners individual needs.

Assessment: PTDQ Assessment Portfolio Assignment. Must be completed in full and all questions and elements been marked as competent by PTDQ accredited Trainer Assessor.

Course Structure:  Face to face with tutor support. Assessments must follow PTDQ assessment guidance for more assessments.

Unit Overview: 2 Mandatory units they are Responsibilities and Legal handling Medicines in a social care setting are covered in unit one. Ordering, receiving, storing, safe handling and administering Medicines in a social care setting in unit two.
